Preparing For Birth and Beyond - Providing services to families in Central and North East PA

  A little about me!
Our children’s births were a very special time for us, as is each day watching them grow and change.  I have found that I change and grow with them.
Tom and I grew up in Arizona, went to high school together, and married in May 1979.  We moved around with the Navy for 10 years.  After Tom left the Navy we lived in Maryland for 16 years, moving to Webster, NY in 2006 and to Berwick, PA in 2010, where we plan to stay!
We are blessed to have eight amazing children who range from adult to high school, three wonderful sons by marriage and seven delightful grandchildren 22 - 6, a grandson by marriage and an adorable great grandson!
I was a stay at home mom for many years. I worked as a nurse in a long term care/rehabilitation facility and doctors office when living in NY.  Now my work as a doula, childbirth educator and breastfeeding counselor are my full time job, though I do occasionally substitute as a school nurse (they are very understanding about me having to cancel at the last minute if a client is in labor!)
I currently serve on the DONA International board of directors. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, and doing volunteer work through the community and our church. I also enjoy sewing, crocheting and reading.
Working as a doula and teaching childbirth education is my passion and my job!
